A beautiful tribute and lovely to read for all who cherished dear Judith and have known the Hurst family. She was so special. I am so very grateful to have had her as a stable part of my life through 70 odd years!! She visited me in Denmark last august (23). We swam in the sea and walked the hills, and she almost went paragliding again. 🥰

As a child I always looked forward to our family visiting the Hursts at Christmas time when Aunty Judith would produce the most delicious home made cakes and flapjacks . More recently she shared her special fish pie recipe with me which I shall always associate with her and also her recipe for boiled fruit cake which was a revelation ! Aunty Judith was ‘Queen of the kitchen gadgets ‘ ! Things we never knew we needed but we immediately found a use for . In early Summer Judith gave me a cutting from her pink Mallow plant . It’s in a pot in our garden and is a lovely memory of her .
